Dave was born into a musical
family. His father retired from a long run of factory work in order to
open a piano teaching studio on the south west side of Chicago, and
performed as a pianist in the cocktail lounge circuit during the mid
1940s while supporting a wife and four children. Dave’s older
sister and two older brothers are professional musicians as well.
Being surrounded by music in his home, Dave took an early interest in
music and began piano lessons at a young age. His college
education includes a Bachelor of Music and Master of Music degree in
music theory and performance (piano). After receiving his music
degrees, he taught jazz piano at The American Conservatory of Music and
Roosevelt University in Chicago from 1984-1996 and simultaneously owned
his own commercial music business in downtown Chicago writing and
producing jingles for Coca Cola, McDonalds, Coors Beer and more.
He is currently a faculty member of Saint Xavier University and Joliet
Junior College teaching courses in music theory and music history.
Dave joined his first band in 1973 while attending Northern Illinois
University as a keyboardist. His performance career developed
playing keyboards with several bands and as a band leader since 1977 in
all musical styles. In 1996 he decided to learn electric bass
guitar and along with Heath Chappell, formed The New Invaders in
February of 1997 and regarded it as a special interest project.
Dave’s unrelenting quest for success has kept The New Invaders on an
upward swing ever since.

Vocals |
|
| |
Instruments: Gretsch Country Gentleman and Guild 6 string
acoustic, woodwinds.
Rockin' Jimmy Herter grew up on the South Side of Chicago. Although his
roots are in the Midwest, Jim and close friend, Jim Caprio headed out
west in the late 70’s and found their niche in the LA scene. The Rockin'
Jimmys worked with producers Andrew Gold and Kenny Edwards from The
Linda Ronstadt Band and found themselves sharing their original music on
stage with the likes of such acts as the Talking Heads, The Romantics,
and Greg Kihn. Later in the 80’s, paying tribute to the 60's, the Jimmys
shared the stage with Jan & Dean, The Strawberry Alarm Clock, Gary
Lewis, and countless other time enduring acts.
Jimmy
played lead guitar and sang for Nicolette Larson from ’85 to ’95. He
also toured overseas with "Beatlemania Live,” playing the part of George
in this and other "Beatle Bands". Rockin' Jimmy performed in a famed
faux Monkees tribute “The Missing Links” playing the part of Peter Tork.
After twenty years in LA, Jimmy returned to Chicago in 1997 to play
premier events with the Montgomery Street band. He now brings his

Jay
Goeppner
Vocals/Guitar |
|
| |
In 1981, after seeing Jay Goeppner perform at a local event in Chicago,
Harry Nillson gave the young man a great compliment. He said, “Keep
singing and performing because you’ve got a future in this business.”
Jay followed his passion and is known throughout the world as one of the
best John Lennon vocalists in the business. His interpretation of The
Beatles and 60’s music has offered him the opportunity to perform
throughout Europe and to even share the stage with such musical greats
as Roger Daltry, Alan White, Natasha Bedingfield and members of Queen.
He sang background harmonies for Cheap Trick’s Sgt. Pepper Las Vegas
show and most recently had the honor of singing with the legendary folk
artist Pete Seeger. Jay was born and raised on the Southside of Chicago
and has performed lead vocals for The Beatles Brothers and the Instant
Karma Band. Jay is looking forward to working with The New Invaders and
hopes that his talent will only add to an already great band.
